The initial days were challenging, grappling with a new language and culture while working full-time as a nail salon technician. Undeterred, Jenny dedicated countless hours after work to learning English, a testament to her resolve and dedication. Her efforts bore fruit as she not only mastered the language but also earned her driver’s license and completed nail technician school, marking the beginning of brighter days.

In 2004, with newfound confidence and a relentless spirit, Jenny opened her first nail salon. Her journey took a significant turn in 2008 when she became a proud US citizen, a milestone that was both an end and a new beginning. The following year, Jenny brought her parents over from Vietnam, and in 2010, they all moved to Florida, where Jenny’s dream took a new shape.

Jenny had always envisioned owning a retail store in the United States, and in St. Pete Beach, Florida, this dream crystallized into One Love Smoke Shop — the first of its kind on the beach. The store quickly became a symbol of Jenny’s hard work, vision, and love for her new community. Despite the success and hiring her first full-time employee, Jenny’s work ethic never wavered, often working from early morning till 1 am.

Buoyed by the success of her first venture, Jenny expanded her dream by opening a second location in Parrish, FL in 2012. Setting up the new store and managing it alongside her original shop showcased Jenny’s unparalleled dedication and managerial acumen. All these achievements were made even more remarkable because Jenny was a single mom, navigating a new country, language, and business landscape with sheer will and determination.
